Checkoff payments are mandatory, but in many states a refund from the state-level checkoff program is available. Each state has its own regulations and process. Below is state checkoff refund information we have been able to gather, but please note that it is not necessarily a complete list. If your checkoff program is not listed below, we suggest calling the commodity checkoff office in your state and asking if they offer refunds and how to obtain one.

Note: A grower must request an individually-numbered refund voucher from the Kansas Corn Commission. Voucher requests can be made in writing, online or by phone. The commission staff will assign a number to each voucher and send it to the grower who is requesting the refund. The voucher cannot be copied. The voucher is a two-part form that is filled out by the grower and the first purchaser of the corn. To request a form by phone, call the KCC office at 785-410-5009.
